Why Obama is the ONE. He is visionary.

The Tom Peters Seminar by iconoclastic business guru Tom Peters (In Search of Excellence;Thriving On Chaos;etc lays out the business model for the future. Dailykos has exemplified it perfectly and we all have experience with it here. Peters is saying the new model is revolution not change, not incremental adjustments, but permanent and continuing revolution! The world is in a whole new ballgame and corporations will have to enter the revolution or they will perish in the world market. Command and control can no longer work. Remember how Apple used to lead the pack and how exhilirating it was to watch them? At Yearly Kos Kos stated that this was to be the last yearly kos and that it was too big for just one site. Netroots Nation was born and Kos said he was now obsolete. This is what Peters means! And Kos did it with trust not command and control. Kos was the gateopener not the gatekeeper.
And let us never forget the example of Howard Dean And the importance of reaching for the moon and inviting failure which is a part of this entirely new paradigm.
Now make the great leap foward:
Seymour MO School Enrollment Figures, Math Performance and Graduation Rates
Thu Aug 23, 2007 at 10:42:27 PM PDT
The Webster County Citizen Wednesday August 22 2007 edition has reported some interesting educational results. Enrollment figures are tallied since 1990 and an attempt has been made to compare last year's figures with this year's. The results from No Child Left Behind testing has found most of the schools around here, including Seymour, below standard. This means that all Title I money that was going to go to teachers and materials now has to go to professional development and you can bet that development chosen has already been determined by federal and state officials. The graduation rates were also given for the two years and they were below the standard this past year.
The format of reporting was such a mish mash that it took me quite a while to figure it out. But I did and it follows below the fold in the form of a letter to the editor of Seymour's newspaper.
Sick from Seeing Sicko
Sat Jul 14, 2007 at 02:43:30 PM PDT
I saw it last night on its first night in Springfield MO in an almost empty theatre. Sort of like a private viewing. It will probably be dropped fast and that means it will make tons of money for my beloved Moxie our very own independent theatre in Springfield. So I am predicting it will follow in the path of Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.
I could comment endlessly on this movie and people already have. I could not sleep all last night and I am one of those people who could probably fall asleep on a roller coaster. At eight am I finally let go of this movie.
I am looking back on it with Umberto Eco eyes. If you have ever read the great semiologist's essays, let alone his extaordinary novels, you may know what's coming.
Now follow my path.
Screw the Telephone Companies-Go Skype,Gizmo,Jaja
Wed Jul 04, 2007 at 01:51:25 PM PDT
Go to a wireless telephone connection. It will only work on certain conditions.
1.You must have broadband wireless at home.
2.You must use your telephone sparingly, but frequently is OK. That is for what you need and not for long, long conversations. However if you are talking over your computer you can have long long converations.
For my experience with Belkin continue.
A Story:Why You Will Never Change Them
Mon May 28, 2007 at 01:40:34 PM PDT
I am going to tell you a story that happened to me yesterday in my neon red town. I live in a commercial building with my used bookstore in the front and my apartment upstairs. The rear faces on an alley. Yesterday my next door neighbor was playing with his robot car and racing it all over. The children in the family across the alley ran out to see. I was in my garden and my dogs got tired of running after the little car as they couldn't catch it. I found a 4-leaf clover and walked up the alley about 25 feet to give it to one of the children. The lttle boy loved it and so did his older sister who immediately took it from him and ran into the house with it. When she came out I told her it was for her little brother and wouldn't bring her luck if she took it from him. The little boy had never seen one before and never heard of good luck from a 4-leaf clover. And we are surrounded by rural countryside.
This is the good part. Continue for the bad part.
Legal Seminar Day 5 with Christian Fundamentalists
Fri Apr 20, 2007 at 10:12:59 PM PDT
For those that are influenced by the hostile, over protective nannies concerning legal lititgation without a lawyer, here is a link to get you started reading about pro se, which means for self, without a lawyer. Obviously when you see the thousands of sites devoted to this you will see that I am not alone. I do not mean the number of lawyers working hard for a better society and a better world. Like certain military soldiers in Iraq, everyone gets tarred with the same brush when the barbarians are loose on the world.
I am not going to write any more specifics as they are difficult to understand without understanding the entire theory in this seminar. It is also about making the vicious ones accountable for the grief and tragedy they wreak. The text is Sun Tzu The Art of War as that is what we are in with the justice system. One of my first diaries was about David Kairys a Constitutional lawyer from Philadelphia who helped us back in the 70's with the anti war movement and strategies of protesting.
Legal Seminar Day 2 and 3 Theory and the Practical
Thu Apr 19, 2007 at 09:24:03 PM PDT
I was too tired last night. Sorry. The trolls are difficult to handle until you figure out what they are doing. Suffice to say one of them is pimping their blog site with every comment they make. Polarizing the discussion to heat it up so as to be able to post more comments and thus more links to a very mediocre blog site with nothing very original on it. So be awake and catch it when it cometh here. And it doesn't come alone. More effective when more than one can back up and attack. Not a full fledged flame war, just a highjacking of the thread to get free ad space for a personal blog that posts on dkos too. Hang on to your shirt kos! More and more people are grabbing your shirt tails for dear life so it must be getting heavy to pull them along.
Well, make the jump for more legal stuff. At least for those who want it. I am sure those that want to be noticed will also be here. I have some trolls in my pocket tonight and will use them, so post civilly. I don't mind criticism if you support it with facts and tell me why. I now know you are not critiquing my legal reporting (not advice)and warning me to help me but rather the opposite, to try and dig a hole for me. Go ahead babe. Bring it on. I got the tools now and the people to work with who know how to use 'em! We are all salivating.
Legal Seminar Day 2 Trolls Stay Away While the
Tue Apr 17, 2007 at 09:31:20 PM PDT
rest of us try to learn something. Zimmerman spent a lot of time on currency today and how the fed inflates it. I once took economic lectures with Greenspan when I was a Randian so I am up on this shill game. Our paper is worth half as much as it was two years ago. This is not too bad if you have a mortgage as you are paying it off with inflated dollars, i.e. cheaper dollars. So your house is costing half what you thought you were paying for it. If it has dropped in value half or more it is not so good. In the 80's I used to say just add another zero and keep on. If you mentally couldn't do that and just gawked at prices you froze up. Got afraid. Remembered more vividly the depression. And just generally became unable to think creatively about money.
Zimmerman discussed objections. Objections in court. Objections to contracts that are being trashed. Objections to fiat money. If you don't object you lend your agreement to the conditions, so when in doubt object.
Go on for my personal example.
Legal Seminar Day 1 WOW! A Revolution has come
Mon Apr 16, 2007 at 09:29:09 PM PDT
Gene Zimmerman is teaching legal seminars and I am taking it in Ava MO. I started today at 8 am and he talked until 7 pm, unhurried, funny, brilliant and so revolutionary that I think he makes many kossacks look conservative. Just wait until I get to some of the meat. This is what we have been waiting for but didn't know it. We have lost our rights because we don't know we have them and do not have the knowledge to protect ourselves. Well, that knowledge started pouring out today and went on for eleven hours. Two short potty breaks and lunch intervened. I have not sat in a room of people so focussed for years and years, without all that silly questioning and second guessing that goes on in classrooms the world over.
This was an overview inundating us with his philosophy of active resistance to what they are doing to us in the courts. Continue for a sampling that may save you, a family or friend, your property etc if you heed it.
Legal Seminars Coming Your Way Soon
Sun Apr 15, 2007 at 06:15:19 PM PDT
Tomorrow I begin a two week seminar on handling your own legal work pro se. That is bypassing the lawyers, screwing the prosecutors right back, defending yourself capably, getting what you want, and helping others, showing them how.
My next door neighbors want my building because I have the elevator in what used to be a single use double commercial storefront and upstairs. They were so awful from the first day that they cannot come to me and ask to use it knowing I will snarl and say no.
So my dog gets off her leash, runs across to the park to find some garbage tidbit some teen has tossed. Voila! A ticket to pay a fine of $57 for dog running loose or go to court, guilty verdict is foreordained, and pay the $57 plus $100 in court costs. I got 2 of them, both very explainable incidents, so I go and find out no chance for justice for me or anyone else in the room that day. Dog running loose is to anyone without shit for brains is when you open the door-or not-and let your dog go out alone to piss, poop, and generally disturb anyone it wants to for however long it wants to do so before it gets bored and comes back home.
Me, I run after mine and grab her. So I think that's self explanatory. Not.
Continue on. It gets worse.
Natural Agriculture the Fukuoka Way
Mon Apr 09, 2007 at 07:17:57 PM PDT
This diary is dedicated to OrangeClouds
FUKUOKA: Part of my purpose is to create a society where no one has to do anything.
This is my philosophy so let's see what Fukuoka says next:
FUKUOKA:[Draws a picture of a man sleeping under a tree].. This is a natural farmer, sleeping in the sunshine. He does no fertilizing, no plowing, no weeding-almost no work. You could say I have been sleeping for 40 years, yet my yields are as high as those of the farmer who works all the time.
Japan's agriculture has the top 5% of yields in the world. Fukuoka is in the top 1% of Japan's yields.
So make the jump even if you don't feel like it.
Free Prescription Meds-Help is Here When You Can't Afford Your Medicine
Fri Apr 06, 2007 at 10:04:27 PM PDT
So in the social services agency where I went yesterday to get energy assistance here is this red and blue phamplet and they are pushing it. Free Prescription Drugs and I thought it deserved a look see. Here's the site:For Free Meds
Struggling to pay for your prescription drugs?
Would you like to get your brand-name medication for only $10 per prescription? In small print my form says $5.
Prescription Assistance is Available to Households with Incomes as High as $80,000.
And this is in large green type. Well now I'm really interested because I've read diaries from people here that would like to know about this. I am on no meds except what big pharma pays me to take. (Soon it's going to be morphine so I hope I get in that one. I love morphine studies.)

Wheat Gluten-Pet Food Recall-Autism??????
Fri Apr 06, 2007 at 05:01:03 PM PDT
I have just been reading the diary My Son is Autistic and all the comments. Slowly the dots began drawing a line and I began to be filled with horror. The comments of parents and the outbursts of regressive behvior in their autistic children target gluten. They all suggest getting it out of the autistic child's diet. and I am thinking, these children are the canaries only they aren't dead yet like the pets. They react so violently that to parents who are superaware of any difference in their child's behavior can't miss the foods that trigger the behavior. So I am reading this diary and the light bulb goes on. We know now that it is food grade wheat gluten that is in the pet food.
In the above diary there is a long thread on gluten free foods, which is what we pet owners are now doing. Not all of the autistic parents' comment in the above diary concern gluten and the thread is near the beginning.

The Authoritarians Meet Altemeyer&John Dean Today
Sat Mar 24, 2007 at 11:06:09 AM PDT
Never doubt that one person cannot start a firestorm. On 1-16 Glenn Greenwald posted a small paragraph on The Authoritarians that was picked up by Mary on dkos on January 20. Then on 2-26 on kos robertdfineman . Jimmyjack on kos put up this diary on 3-1. By then I had read the intro and first three chapters and had emailed Dr. Bob. I suggested to him that since the book club (where I posted a thread on it) had asked me to do his book I wanted him to be here to check it out. He volunteered to be here for the comments and to ask John Dean to be here also. I started putting up diaries for each chapter and emailed every front pager to help (Thanks McJoan) and posting all night some nights in threads of other diaries discussing the issues of authoritarianism, fascism, Nazism here in the US and so we were on our way.
Chapter 5 and 6 The Authoritarians-Altemeyer
Thu Mar 22, 2007 at 10:10:41 PM PDT
Chapter five begins the ultimate horror of this book as Altemeyer's research moves into investigating those high on the SD scale-Social Dominance. All previous studies of the authoritarian personality have investigated the followers. Altemeyer turns his attention to the leaders. The items in the scale are those descriptions of themselves the high SD's use to describe themselves in their own words. They are against equality and have a desire for power.
Hang on in there.
And go to http://www.theauthoritarians.com to read Altemeyer's ebook. It's FREE!
Chapter 4 The Authoritarians Altemeyer
Tue Mar 20, 2007 at 12:43:00 PM PDT
Here we go on chapter 4 where you can take some more tests to put you in touch with the authoritarian mind. Please check all my other diaries on this subject to catch up if this is your first. They give you an idea of what's in each chapter. Better yet just read the free ebook Altemeyer has put online for you to save our country. The Authoritarians
I got help from diary rescue in publicizing this on the front page and this is the book of the century. John Dean and Altemeyer will be here when it is reviewed the book club on 3-24 in the early afternoon, so read it and be here wih us. It is on at the same time as the Vermont impeachment hearings are going to cave.
Some snippets for you so make the jump.
Chapter Three The Authoritarians Altemeyer
Mon Mar 19, 2007 at 09:40:10 AM PDT
Another trailer to get you to read Altemeyer's ebook at The Authoritarians because bookflurries is doing his book on 3-24 and Altemeyer and John Dean will be here at kos to respond in the comments part.
If anyone knows how to get the heavies in control of the front page to feature this so as many kossacks as possible will be with us in the early afternoon of the 24th, please please help us. Diary Rescue is ignoring it. I am posting trailers every day to inform and intrigue people and still under 40 people have gone to Altemeyer's ebook site to read or download.
He has published a free book of such importance to us because it confirms our worse fears as it give us the tools and weapons to confront them. If you understand what he is saying all the silly diaries can stop and we can address the real issues. So I am going to blockquote some of this chapter.
I have asked someone to post chapter two for Saturday during the day and someone will publish this chapter on Sunday during the day as I will be inaccessible to do it. Sorry I won't be able to comment but I will follow the comments on Monday and answer then.

The Authoritarians Chapter One
Fri Mar 16, 2007 at 10:16:26 PM PDT
Chapter one concerns the measurement of people to be authoritarian followers. It will end with a simulation game called the Global Change Game played by high authoritarians and low authoritarians. The basic measurement is a test called the RWA Scale i.e. The Right-Wing Authoritarianism scale. And you can take it yourself in this chapter for the purpose of understanding how an authoritarian thinks. You will be taken into the statistics used to establish the reliability and validity of this test.
Checkout my diary on the preface and introduction and watch for Chapter Two tomorrow.
OK time to jump!
