Bad Bad John Sing-a-long
Tue Jun 17, 2008 at 11:25:28 AM PDT
Well if you have seen the front page vid and/or the Diary by cgvjelly you might feel the need to pull out a washboard; and play a guitar chord, and do a little do it yourself.
So now I'm stuck with the jingle and jangle in my head but I updated the Lyrics.
Ballad of Bad, Bad John
Bad John
Bad John
Every mornning at the club, you could see him arrive.
He stood 5 foot 6, weighed 245.
Kind of broad at the belly, narrow at the hip.
And every caddie knew you didn't get no tip from Bad John.
Bad John
Bad John
Bad Bad John

Then the next big battle is in OHIO--and in two weeks!
Hackett on Brown

Californians for Hackett, 10-19-05 No. 2
Excuse the title, I'm not trying to mislead. I didn't put up this diary to discuss the merits or differences of either candidate. This is the Californians for Hackett Diary but I wanted to put to rest the most overblown and hyperbolic juice from the start of the campaign. The Sherrod Brown In or Out Story
Paul Hackett on the Radio Interviewed by Angie Coiro, Mother Jones Radio, October 16th, 2005. His bit starts about halfway through this half-hour show.

First the whole idea is preposterous. Why would a few nutjobs ten states away want a guy who couldn't even win a Congressional Seat against a horrible Republican candidate to be the next Senator from Ohio? He doesn't have a track record of progressive legislative prowess. He doesn't have the most money. He doesn't have big money PACs or a long list of party-insiders slapping his back and encouraging him to run.
So why would we care? Well...I suppose that is why I am putting up this Diary. It seems any time Hackett's name is attached to a post or a Diary there are a good 27-456 comments that follow. Those who dislike Hackett seem to think they know why we like him--and they miss the point entirely.
White Christian Party Wins Another Election
Thu Jun 09, 2005 at 10:17:30 AM PDT
They did. And you aren't going to keep them from winning till you make them admit that they are not the White Christian Party.
There has been some discussion of comments made by Dean about the true nature of the Republican Party. Some have found fault. I have found genius. I am still working on the Worker theme but the White Christian Party theme was so outstanding I just couldn't hold back any longer. This originally began as a reply at the TPM Café but it just kept rolling so it became a diary.
Calling the Republicans the "White Christian Party" is an AWESOME idea. And this simple statement of fact shows that someone (DEAN) gets the idea of Communicating.
I have never been a Dean supporter or a fan until he called Republicans on the working class and the Christian talking points.
A Penis Trys to Frame the Choice Debate
Thu May 26, 2005 at 11:18:17 AM PDT
A deep breath and here I go.
I don't want to be Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, Pro-Abortion, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Life, Anti-Choice. I just want government to GTFO.
A decision between the doctor, the patient and God.
I think this needs to be moved from a personal to a medical decision. A patient-doctor relationship is an obviously private relationship. Who wants government to come between you and your doctor? The Republicans have already sold this concept to try and stop Health Care. So why not turn that dog against them.
