"Will someone answer the gosh darn phone?" An imaginary SNL skit

Sat Mar 01, 2008 at 07:41:37 PM PDT

The imaginary SNL skit I think of everytime I see these "3:00 AM and your kids are sleeping ads" is one a few years from now, and President HRC is sleeping and the red phone rings four times like in the commercials. And then Bill storms in with a bottle of Vodka screaming "will someone answer the G^#& D@^* phone?"

After pausing for the audience laughter, the way Jackie Gleason would, Bill picks up the phone, and we hear urgent screaming through the receiver.

Bill's says' "Oh, Vladimir, how's it going...."

"well, ... but you really need to be talking to Hillary now,.....  what?  That's outragious!..."   and then he launches off into a finger wagging rage.

Last Saturday afternoon after the "Shame on You" speech, CNN was doing a show on the SNL portrayal of the debates and in the background they had what looked like an SNL skit with an enraged HRC jumping up and down on a sofa, while pulling on Obama's tie trying to hang him while screaming vituperations to the audience.

I've looked all over and can't find it on Youtube, so I thought maybe it might be a rehearsal for last week, but wasn't.  Does anyone know where to find this?

The NYT Caucus section has just reported that Hillary will be on SNL tonight, along with a band that supports Obama.

But, some of the folks in the comments section are really steamed that SNL seems to be making asymetrical punches favoring HRC a few nights before the most critical election of the primaries.

This just isn't right. lol

I hope SNL plays fair.  After giving a boost to HRC last week, it seems only fair that they might poke a little fun of HRC tonight.

Otherwise, it might undermine the public's trust that the media will play fair and unbiasedly.
